Communication Cell

OLVC Communications Cell (erstwhile “Reach Out Magazine”) provides a platform to relay the spiritual, social, and cultural activities at Our Lady of Visitation Church, Nerul. Saint Gabriel the Archangel is our patron saint because the angel Gabriel is God’s top angelic messenger. Throughout history, Gabriel has delivered God’s most important messages to humanity. While the Reach Out was our primary mode of communication, the pandemic necessitated the use of other aids of communication i.e. audio-visual, website, etc.

Reach Out is the official Magazine of Our Lady of Visitation Church, Nerul. The Magazine is published thrice a year and has now moved to an e-magazine format. It is a platform for buddings writers to showcase their writing skills. It is a vehicle of communication not only to our parishioners but also to people of other Parishes. The Reach Out is a wonderful platform for all age groups – Children, Youth, Adults and Senior Citizens. It not only makes us aware of all the happenings in our SCC communities, cells and associations but it also tries to motivate parishioners to participate and get involved in the development of our Parish. We, the Editorial Team believe “THE PEN IS MIGHTIER THAN THE SWORD.”

The OLVC Visuals is another off-shoot of the Communications Cell that was literally born during the pandemic to help parishioners participate in the mass using the audio-visual medium. It complements the mass by highlighting liturgical references and the theme, by encouraging participation in the hymns and keeping the parish abreast of the weekly developments through the notices.

Our parish website was revived during the pandemic. It is the “Go-To” website for both new and existing parishioners to know about the history of our Parish, the various cells and associations, the SCC co-ordinators for each community, the PPC members and the Executive Council, the Liturgy schedule, the various events conducted, etc.
